The Red Tree

This project was a devised performance in collaboration with Red Earth Theatre Company, based on ‘The Red Tree’ by Shaun Tan.
Synopsis
The story is based on images inspired by the experience of depression. It emphasizes on isolation, social apathy and eventually hope! Shaun Tan adds, 'As a concept, the book is inspired by the impulse of children and adults alike to describe feelings using metaphor - monsters, storms, sunshine, rainbows and so on.'
